Your First Visit
Prior to your initial evaluation, you will have completed the new patient forms on our website or received them via e-mail, fax or post. Please read the New Patient checklist and prepare for your evaluation. Our office will have contacted you to finalize any details and Dr. Schwartz will have called you personally to introduce himself. This is our way of getting off to a great start and answering your questions and addressing any concerns you may have.
The day before your initial evaluation, you should stop taking all herbs, vitamins, minerals, supplements, homeopathics and non-essential over-the-counter medications, such as Advil. Continue to take all your prescription medications.
One hour before the evaluation, stop eating food (including gum and mints) and drinking beverages (it’s OK to drink water); brush your teeth; remove lipstick (if you wear it); and remove Q-links, crystals, magnets or any other energy devices from your body. Please plan on arriving 15 minutes prior to your appointment. Sometimes parking can be tricky. We have two parking spots in the rear of the building and there is street parking on Ventura , Greenbush to the west and Dixie Canyon to the east. Please bring your appointment scheduler, reading glasses (if you use them) and your prescription drugs with you (it is not necessary to bring supplements or vitamins). If you have the results of blood tests, scans, or other laboratory work, bring them along. We request that you turn off your cell phone to maintain our quiet, tranquil space.
The evaluation process occurs during two office visits. The good news is that you only pay for the first one! During the first visit, we will gather information and perform painless tests. When you arrive for your second visit, you will receive a written report of findings and our program recommendations. We have found that the success of our Hygiea Health & Wellness Program is directly related to the degree you understand the program and the commitment you make. We will explain your action steps and answer your questions. Your financial options will be discussed. No one, including us, likes surprises. Our staff will schedule your appointments, so, please bring your appointment scheduler with you.
